Math:  This week we have been talking about chance and probability.  We also have been doing problem solving involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 
Reading:   This week we have been learning about the island of Santa Domingo by reading a story called, "Cocoa Ice."  Students learned about the Cacao tree and the fact that chocolate really does grow on trees, so to speak. 
Science/Social Studies:  This week we introduced rocks and minerals.  So far we have discussed the effects of erosion caused by wind, water, and ice. 
Spelling:  Watch for updated lists online.  We will be working on making these words a part of our vocabulary...not just words to memorize for a week.
